ELEGOO Rapid PLA+ (White) is a reinforced PLA+ filament engineered for users who need both durability and speed. Compared with typical PLA, Rapid PLA+ offers substantially higher tensile strength (≥60 MPa) and greater elongation (~19%), producing finished parts that are tougher, less brittle and more tolerant to handling and light mechanical loads. The filament is manufactured to tight dimensional tolerances (1.75 mm ±0.02 mm) and delivered vacuum-sealed with desiccant to minimize moisture absorption during storage and transport. Printing guidance and recommended settings: • Nozzle temperature: 200–230 °C (start ~205 °C and tune in 5 °C steps). • Heated bed: 50–70 °C for reliable first-layer adhesion (glass/PEI/BuildTak). • Typical print speed: tune by geometry and printer capability; Rapid PLA+ supports higher-throughput workflows but balance speed vs. finish (common range 30–100 mm/s; very coarse prints may use larger nozzles and faster settings). • Nozzle: 0.4 mm recommended for general work; 0.6–0.8 mm for faster, coarse prints. • Cooling & retraction: moderate part-cooling for detail; reduce cooling for large solid parts to boost interlayer strength. Adjust retraction to reduce stringing at higher speeds. Best practices: • Run a short calibration print when switching spools to confirm optimal temperature, retraction and cooling settings for your printer. • If you observe popping, bubbles, or excess stringing, dry the spool (e.g., 40–50 °C for a few hours) and re-tune temperatures/retraction. • Store spools sealed with desiccant in a cool, dry place to preserve performance. Applications: Ideal for functional prototypes, fixtures, housings, mounting brackets, larger display models and any application where increased toughness and better impact resistance are required without sacrificing the simplicity of PLA printing.
